What we do
Law for Non-profits provides relevant legal education, information and advice to the non-profit sector, which consists of approximately 27,000 societies in BC. Our goal is to build legal supports that will provide sustained access to legal education and information, thereby empowering and strengthening the sector to mitigate the need for more substantial legal intervention.
While there are some legal resources available to the sector, they are largely piecemeal, rarely proactive or strategic, located in cities and not readily accessible. Typically, even a well resourced society has difficulty identifying or predicting potential legal issues. This is where we step in.
